PRAGUE/BUDAPEST (BosNewsLife)-- The Czech Republic has welcomed home the human remains of Cardinal Josef Beran, seen as a symbol of defiance of the former Communist government which forced him into exile in the Vatican. The cardinal, who died 49 years ago, always wanted to be buried in his homeland.

MOSCOW/BUDAPEST (BosNewsLife)-- The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on churchgoers in Russia's predominantly Muslim Dagestan region that killed at least five people and injured five more. Video footage showed people panicking as gunfire reverberated around a Russian Orthodox church in the Dagestan city of Kizlyar.

HANOI, VIETNAM (BosNewsLife)-- U.S. evangelist Franklin Graham says thousands of people accepted his invitations to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during a historic Christian festival in communist-run Vietnam where authorities have oppressed religious minorities. "As the Holy Spirit worked in hearts, at least 4,500 people over two nights came forward publicly during the invitations, both inside the sports complex and outside in the extended area, to make life-changing decisions for Christ," he said in a statement following the December evangelism event in Hanoi, the capital.
